Issue 75 - June 2015

From the Editor:

Like every month, I am really excited to show you this month's featured portfolios.  I've had the pleasure of seeing three of the four portfolios in person and can honestly say they are some of the finest prints around.

I met Liz Arenberg and Nick Shepard at Review Santa Fe last year and then had the pleasure of working with them on a Flash Powder retreat. I met Carol Golemboski at the Denver Month of Photography portfolio reviews that CPAC hosted earlier this year and got to see these silver gelatin prints firsthand.  I've not yet had the pleasure of meeting David Shannon-Lier, but I suspect that these silver gelatin prints are terrific, especially considering his recent MFA from Arizona State University.

Making photographic prints is an important part of what we do and with that being said, I am also quite excited to introduce you to Fraction of a Second, a multi-site exhibition that I curated.  It features 124 photographs from 45 photographers. The first part of the show opens at the University of New Mexico Art Museum on June 5 and the second part opens at 516 ARTS on June 6.  Both locations are in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Along with the show is a catalogue that was designed by Radius Books, and as of this writing, there are very limited copies available.  I am proud and grateful for this opportunity to put together a really strong and diverse photography show.

I hope this issue inspires you to make and print your work.

With Gratitude,

David Bram
Editor-in-Chief
